Here at Defy Gravity Alternative Fitness and Pole Dance, our philosophy and classes are about:

We are a specialized alternative fitness service and we offer classes for all levels of ability, even first-time beginners!

In addition to our pole dance classes, we offer classes in strength and flexibility training (Ultra Flex and Unwind classes) as well as specialized classes, workshops, where you can meet others with the same interests as you and make new friends.
You'll work up a good sweat in every class as standard, as well as smile and have a laugh while you're doing it!

We are looking for 10 people who are up for the trying pole dance and can commit to 1 sessions per week for a 4 week period. Sessions start at 6pm Thursday January 30th 2020, so you MUST be available to apply!

This is a program designed for first-time students who want to give pole dancing a try and see the benefits for themselves. Don't worry if you've never even touched a pole before, this is a gentle introduction to the art of pole dance.

You will learn:

  • Basic pole technique,
  • Spins and tricks
  • Floorwork
  • Poses 
  • Easy choreography and more!

From the first lesson you will be able to perform a short choreography with the pole. The class is designed for absolute beginners, no previous experience is necessary. You will learn the fundamentals of pole dance in a relaxed and friendly environment. You can expect to get a great physical workout, have fun and make new friends. What better way to build strength, flexibility and (the best part!) tone your entire body while learning an exciting new form of dance!
